Nokia today unveiled the super slim Nokia X3 (X3-02) Touch and Type, with a unique combination of a touch screen and traditional 12 button phone keypad. As Nokia’s first ‘Touch and Type’ phone, the Nokia X3 allows people to tap quickly on the touch screen, as well as enjoy the familiarity of the full keypad for quick fire text messaging and phone calls. In selected markets, the X3 Touch and Type will also be offered with Ovi Music Unlimited, allowing access to a library of over 11 million tracks.

Rafe Blanford was lucky enough to visit Nokia’s Espoo (Helsinki) offices, and had the opportunity to look around Nokia’s Experience Lounge which showcased all of Nokia’s latest products and services. Within the Experience Lounge, Nokia had set up most of its Ovi services, along with a huge collection of nearly all the handsets and accessories ever made by the Finnish giants. It reminds you of how game-changing Nokia were, with most of the technology in the devices appearing way ahead of its time. Do you remember how many of these you owned? It sure is raining firmwares, and next up to get its fix is the Nokia X6. Nokia’s most advanced Xseries device has just been bumped up to v20.0.5. Its unclear yet as to whether any new features have been implemented, however we hope that Nokia has applied kinetic scrolling within the menu screens as it did with the Nokia 5800XM in its new v50.0.005 update. The new firmware will gradually make its way round to you over the coming weeks depending on your region and product code.
