Today at CTIA in Orlando, Florida, Nokia took the first step in delivering its promise of making millions of more Symbian devices with the launch of the Nokia Astound (US version of the Nokia C7) with T-Mobile USA. Check out the full press release and press images after the break.

Nokia has today released a voluntary software update for it’s Symbian^3 smartphones, primarily to address a synchronization issue identified in a limited number of Nokia smartphones using Mail for Exchange on Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Service Pack 1. This does not mean the PR 2.0 firmware has been delayed, as it’s still remains scheduled for the first quarter of 2011. Hit the jump to find out more.

Tank Hero is a fast paced, 3D, tank-action game for Symbian^3 devices. Take out your enemies with cannons, heat seekers, and howitzers. Tank Hero sports campaign and survival game modes, 60 levels to challenge yourself with, and multitouch controls with several schemes to choose from. Check out the gameplay demo after the break.

Here’s a quick step by step video tutorial on how to re-download apps and games from the Ovi Store. You might need to do this if you either purchase a new device, or if you’ve had to reformat or reset your current handset for whatever reason. It doesn’t however explain how to get the Ovi Store app itself after a hard reset of the newer Symbian^3 devices.

Speed X 3D is an 3D action tunnel game for Symbian^3 devices, where you have to avoid colourful blocks by using tilt motion controls. Choose one from four available difficulty levels and collect bonuses to increase your shield resistance, destroy blocks, break warnings or to slow your speed. In addition, Speed X is the first game on the market which supports red-cyan and green-magenta 3D glasses, how cool! Check out the gameplay demo after the break.
