A little sooner than we expected, but here it is, the third and final part of the Nokia N8 video review by Nokia. In this video, Chris Bennetts takes us through the Nokia N8‘s multimedia features, focusing more on the music and video side of things. He also gives a quick demo of the HDMI TV-Out feature, and explains how it can also be controlled using practically any bluetooth remote. Does this include the PS3 joypad? I’m not too sure, but hit the jump and let us know what you think. You can also watch Part 1 and Part 2 here.
Posts Tagged “Review”The Nokia N8 is nearing its official release and what better way to get excited than a few hands on tutorials of some of its features. The first video we showed you by Chris Bennetts, Senior Project Manager at Nokia, focused more on the devices connectivity and the customisation limits. Today he gives a thorough walkthrough on the photography features, the video and image editor in particular. It’s an exciting prospect when you consider the quality of content you’ll able to capture with the device’s 12 MP camera and its Carl Zeiss Optics. Check out the video after the break, and stay tuned for part three next week. The Nokia N8 is by far the most anticipated device for all Nokia fans, from the most impressive spec sheet yet, advanced photography features and new Symbian^3 OS. Well, we’ve so far seen leaked images, video functionalities and more, however now we bring you a three part review courtesy of Nokia Itself. In this first video Chris Bennetts, Senior Project Manager at Nokia talks through the Nokia N8’s homescreen, demonstrating the customisable abilities of the handset, true multitasking that makes running multiple apps a breeze, the lighting-fast onscreen keyboard, email and messaging, Internet and browser capabilities and finally maps and navigation. Check out the full walkthrough of the new Nokia N8 after the break, and stay tuned for part two and three next week.

ABBYY FotoTranslate | Travel & Dine With Confidenceby Ibrahim Jogee | Applications, Reviews, VideoIf you’re planning a trip this summer to a foreign country we have just the app for you. ABBYY FotoTranslate is a cracking utility application that not only converts images of text into text using its award winning Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, but also then translates this text into your preferred language. So the next time you come across a road sign or restaurant menu that you can’t quite make sense of, simply snap the text you wish to translate and let ABBYY FotoTranslate do the rest. What’s more is that there is no need for an Internet connection, cellular signal, or even access to any external language resources. The built in dictionary software supports up to 8 languages for recognition and 30 directions for translation. Check out my thoughts after the break.

Nokia BH-607 Bluetooth Headset Reviewby Ibrahim Jogee | Accessories, Mobile Phones, ReviewsThe Nokia BH-607 Bluetooth Headset is Nokia’s latest bluetooth headset which has Advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and two built-in microphones. The in-ear headset sports acoustic wind noise reduction and has support for Advanced Multipoint, which allows you to connect it with more than one device. It’s also the first of its kind to sport My Own Key, which enables you to assign a specific function to one of the keys. I’ve been using the headset for the past month now and thought I’d fill you in on how we got on. So check out my thoughts, along with an extensive gallery for your viewing pleasure, after the jump.

Nokia Extra Power DC-11 Review | Still The Best Portable Charging Solutionby Ibrahim Jogee | Accessories, Mobile Phones, ReviewsAs our regular readers are probably aware, we had the Nokia E72 during the unboxing challenge set by WOMWorld, but not only did they send us the handset, they also crammed the Nokia Extra Power DC-11 into the package. Now I’ve personally spent quite a bit of money on portable power in the past, and none of the chargers that I have bought seem to make the cut. The huge selection of connectors, adjustable cords, and all the other gimmickry, just made it a chore to have to pack all these little finicky pieces into one bag to carry around. All I wanted was a simple, reliable and compact solution, and I think I may have just stumbled upon the perfect one. |
