
Nokia phones have been known for great things over the years, and voice quality is definitely one of them. While some smartphone owners may rave about their phone’s ability to land airplanes, you’ll find many complaints regarding the voice quality when using the handset. A number of Nokia N8 users have been experiencing power issues recently as their handsets refuse to power up. Once the device has powered off it cannot be switched on, even plugging in the charger does nothing. As we’ve seen in the past Nokia handsets are put thorough a rather vigorous reliability test in order to guarantee the reliability of that device before they go on sale. This was no different for the Nokia N8, which was put through its paces in a drop test at the Nokia Testing Centre in Beijing. Nokia put every new handset through almost 200 endurance tests to ensure they’ll survive in the real world. Check out the video after the break and find out just what Nokia do in these tests.

The Nokia Testing Centre in Beijing puts all Nokia handsets through a controlled yet extreme regime in order to guarantee the reliability of that device. Daky Yang is a Nokia Testing Engineer, and part of the team of people that put your Nokia handset through many different tests and scenarios in order to ensure they are hard-wearing and reliable. He went on to say that, “When we perform the tests, we understand that people use their phones in different ways.
