Nokia has announced that Sebastian Nystrom will succeed Alberto Torres as new Head of the Meego team at Nokia. Alberto left the company when Nokia announced the partnership with Microsoft at MWC in February and so Sebastian has now been appointed to take over. Nokia has also announced that a Meego Developer Edition will become available for the Nokia N900. More details after the break.

Bloomberg has today revealed that two people with knowledge of the terms regarding the Nokia/Microsoft Partnership announced in Mobile World Congress 2011 earlier last month, have stated that Microsoft will pay Nokia around $1 billion to promote and develop Windows Phone-based handsets as part of their smartphone software agreement.
