“Ovi Music” Articles

The Nokia E72 has today received a new firmware update taking it up to v54.005. The new firmware includes many core software updates to improve and enhance the stability of the operating system, and should be available to download for many of you immediately. If you handset does however have a non-generic product code, you may need to wait a while before it becomes available. Check out the full changelog after the break.

Check out this Symbian^3 PR 2.0 Firmware presentation video, highlighting some of the key features set to be released in the new update. A faster UI, renewed music player and more importantly a better web browser with a less overpowering keyboard overlay and tabbed browsing, will all feature in the upcoming update. Nokia today announced that it has decided to pull the plug on its Ovi Music Unlimited service in most regions due to poor uptake. It seems the service never really picked up globally, however the service that lets you eat all you can has been successful in certain regions, and therefore will continue to operate there. Ovi Music’s Adam Mirabella explains the changes in the short video after the break.

Nokia Beta Labs has today released an updated Beta of Ovi Suite 3.0. This Beta release has gone through private alpha testing for about a month now, and the stability, syncing and the experience with downloading maps has been much improved. Also introduced in this release is a new Home View and a new Music Player. Hit the jump to find out more.
