Nokia has announced that there are currently more than 200,000 new users signing up to Ovi everyday, and that Ovi Store has reached the milestone of 2.3 million downloads per day as more than 90 percent of visits are converting into downloads. Available in more than 190 countries, Ovi is discovered through Maps, Music, Messaging, Store and in select countries, Life Tools. The number of active Nokia service users has now reached almost 140 million worldwide.

Nokia’s Everyone Connect campaign was based around a new Nokia Messaging solution that lets you email, chat and connect with your favourite social networking sites instantly from your device. This new service was rolled out on three brand new, messaging-centric devices, the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and the Nokia E5. The question was then posed as to how you use your device to stay connected. The Nokia 5800XM has also just received a new firmware update taking it up to v50.0.005. The new firmware brings many updates and improvements to your Nokia handset, and although there is no official changelog, word has it that this new update comes with preloaded maps data along with Ovi Maps v3.3 with free voice guided turn-by-turn navigation. New firmware updates also contain more general bug fixes and optimizations necessary for the software on your device to perform properly, therefore we recommend you always keep your device up to date.
