Mozilla has announced that its Firefox 4 for Maemo is out of beta and is now available as a release candidate. This release offers faster scrolling, better responsiveness with Firefox Sync and improves the overall user experience of Firefox on your Nokia N900. Nokia has announced that Sebastian Nystrom will succeed Alberto Torres as new Head of the Meego team at Nokia. Alberto left the company when Nokia announced the partnership with Microsoft at MWC in February and so Sebastian has now been appointed to take over. Myriad Group AG today announced the launch of Myriad Alien Dalvik, which enables Android apps to run on non-Android platforms. Myriad Alien Dalvik will commercially become available later this year on the Meego platform, with more operating systems to follow.
