Bloomberg has today revealed that two people with knowledge of the terms regarding the Nokia/Microsoft Partnership announced in Mobile World Congress 2011 earlier last month, have stated that Microsoft will pay Nokia around $1 billion to promote and develop Windows Phone-based handsets as part of their smartphone software agreement. Digia has announced that it is set to acquire the Qt commercial licensing and services business from Nokia. Through the proposed acquisition, around 3500 desktop and embedded customer companies from various industries are targeted to be transferred to Digia, with the transaction expected to close by the end of March 2011. Hit the jump to find out more.
