As we’ve seen in the past Nokia handsets are put thorough a rather vigorous reliability test in order to guarantee the reliability of that device before they go on sale. This was no different for the Nokia N8, which was put through its paces in a drop test at the Nokia Testing Centre in Beijing. Nokia put every new handset through almost 200 endurance tests to ensure they’ll survive in the real world. Check out the video after the break and find out just what Nokia do in these tests.

We’ve discovered the process behind the design of the Nokia N8, now lets take a look at the thought process in designing the Nokia C7. Tomas Ivaškevičius, Lead Designer of the Nokia C7 talks us through the process, from the initial shape, to the balancing act between adding and taking away, to the final details that define what he describes as the soul of the device. The WeTab is set to be the first device to showcase the Nokia and Intel’s MeeGo OS, and will begin shipping early next week. The WeTab is built on the MeeGo 1.0 Framework and boasts start up times of a mere 16 seconds. Global release is not yet confirmed however Germany will retain exclusivity until then.
