Following from the announcements made earlier today, Purnima Kochikar, Head of Forum Nokia & Developer Community, has published a letter addressing the impact of the new global mobile ecosystem Nokia and Microsoft plan to build will have on developers. You can read the full letter after the break.

Forum Nokia introduces a new Twitter Client example made with Qt Quick/QML. The app features a scrollable timeline along with a few basic features. Hit the jump for the video.

Kate over at Forum Nokia has managed to get her MeeGo powered Nokia N900 to take control of the Parrot AR Drone, a Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) quatrocopter. Using Qt she created MARDrone to support MeeGo, and took the AR Drone for its first test flight. Check out the video after the break.

Forum Nokia has released a short video showcasing a project titled ThinkContacts, a mobile application developed for the Maemo platform using QT. It allows the user to select a contact from the phone’s address book and make a phone call by only using the brain’s activity. It is explained and demonstrated in this video using a Nokia N900 and a NeuroSky Mindset headset. Earlier this year we brought to you Brain Maze, which also used this technology as a primary input method for an S60 5th Edition game. Check out the video after the jump.

NeuroSky is a company that specialises in biosensor technology. It’s Brain-Computer Interface technology is available to developers and researchers across a range of industries. Brain Maze is a game that allows the showcase of this technology on a Nokia handset, using tilt and brain interaction as the primary control. Using the NeuroSky Mindset Headset, the user must adopt the appropriate mental state (either meditative or attentive) at certain points in the game to unlock brain controlled gates within the game. Check out the video demo on the Nokia N97 after the break.
