
The Nokia E72 has today received a new firmware update taking it up to v54.005. The new firmware includes many core software updates to improve and enhance the stability of the operating system, and should be available to download for many of you immediately. If you handset does however have a non-generic product code, you may need to wait a while before it becomes available. Check out the full changelog after the break.

Nokia has today released a voluntary software update for it’s Symbian^3 smartphones, primarily to address a synchronization issue identified in a limited number of Nokia smartphones using Mail for Exchange on Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Service Pack 1. This does not mean the PR 2.0 firmware has been delayed, as it’s still remains scheduled for the first quarter of 2011. Hit the jump to find out more.

The Nokia E7 has received a new PR 1.1 firmware update, taking it up to v14.002. A PR 1.1 update has already been available for the Nokia C7 and Nokia N8, however this is not the same release, and is in fact a newer update from that (v14). The firmware details state that it improves the phone’s performance and brings the latest features to the device. The 907 kB update should be available for most of you Nokia E7 users right now, although it may take a while for it to become available to all regions and carriers.

The Nokia X6 received a new minor firmware update taking it up from v30.0.003 to v31.0.004. The new update brings a few improvements with updated maps, and more general improvements in terms of performance and usability. Check out the changelog after the break.

The Nokia N8 has today received its new PR 1.1 firmware update, taking it up to v13.0.16. This PR 1.1 also recently became available for the Nokia C7 last week, and its nice to see universal updates become available for the Symbian^3 platform. The Nokia C6-01 will also set to receive this same update. The new firmware should be available for most of you right now, although it may take a while for it to become available to everyone.
