LogonAniket has released a cracking new multi-platform theme for you Nokia handset. Nokia Theme Purple is compatible with all Symbian devices: this includes S60 3rd edition, both FP1 and FP2, S60 5th Edition and Symbian^3. What’s more is that all versions are available with the Nokia N8 icon set, which is a great added touch to bring your device, regardless of which era, into 2011. Hit the jump for download links.

The Nokia E71 has today been updated with a new firmware taking it up to v501.21.001. The new firmware brings some great improvements including a new Music Player and the new Ovi Store. Other updates include Ovi Maps 3.03 Lite with free voice guided navigation. The new firmware will gradually make its way round to you over the coming weeks depending on your region and product code. The release of the new firmware update for the Nokia N8 has got me thinking about firmware versions and how Nokia provides this service. Has Nokia improved its service in this area or is it still all just jargon to the average user? Hit the jump for my thoughts and please feel free to share yours.

Nokia has stuck to its word, and has increased the compatibility of Ovi Maps v3.03, which provides free voice guided navigation on Nokia handsets. The announcement today is that you can now utilize both walk and drive navigation on your Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 for absolutely no cost whatsoever. This news comes after the announcement of the Nokia N86 8MP, which also recently joined this exclusive bunch. We will continue to update this page every week if not daily, so make sure you keep popping by. Our Maemo5 Applications section also has a great deal of apps available to download, and is currently being revised in order to provide you with more resources, and make installing applications easier. We also have a S60 3rd Edition Applications section which, to be fair we have neglected a little.
