Rafe Blanford was lucky enough to visit Nokia’s Espoo (Helsinki) offices, and had the opportunity to look around Nokia’s Experience Lounge which showcased all of Nokia’s latest products and services. Within the Experience Lounge, Nokia had set up most of its Ovi services, along with a huge collection of nearly all the handsets and accessories ever made by the Finnish giants. Nokia’s Everyone Connect campaign was based around a new Nokia Messaging solution that lets you email, chat and connect with your favourite social networking sites instantly from your device. This new service was rolled out on three brand new, messaging-centric devices, the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and the Nokia E5. The question was then posed as to how you use your device to stay connected. The new firmware updates continue with the Nokia E72, that has just been updated to v31.023. The new firmware brings many new features, improvements and updates including the highly requested Internet Radio application. The Nokia E71, Nokia E66 and Nokia E63 have all recently received new firmware updates taking them to v410.21.010. All three devices can now make use of the free voice-guided navigation provided courtesy of Ovi Maps 3.3. Rounding off the trio in todays announcement, we see the first addition to the Nokia Eseries range that incorporates the new naming convention. The Nokia E5 is designed for those that want to be productive in both their professional and personal lives, the Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 based Nokia E5, follows the successful blueprint of devices such as the Nokia E72 and Nokia E63. The Nokia E5 combines high quality business features with all of the personal networking and entertainment capabilities that a busy professional expects from a smartphone. At £160 before taxes and subsidies, the Nokia E5 is expected to be available in Q3 2010.

Nokia has stuck to its word, and has increased the compatibility of Ovi Maps v3.03, which provides free voice guided navigation on Nokia handsets. The announcement today is that you can now utilize both walk and drive navigation on your Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 for absolutely no cost whatsoever. This news comes after the announcement of the Nokia N86 8MP, which also recently joined this exclusive bunch. Eagle-eyed Rita of NokiaLB has managed to get her hands on a luscious Amethyst variant of the Nokia E72. The E72 is Nokia’s latest Eseries device, and packs a stunning 5 megapixel camera along with the ever reliable Symbian S60 software, into a slim and stylish device. Currently the E72 is available in Black, Silver and Topaz Brown, and now it looks like Nokia is planning to milk the success of this device with the release of this cracking new model. The purple caseing gives the device a very elegant look and the contrast with the glossy chrome finish makes it very appealing. Check out the rest of the images after the break.
