
Earlier today, Nokia launched the T-Mobile Nokia Astound for the US, which is essentially a re-branded US variant of the Nokia C7, however it does come with a slightly tweaked version of Symbian^3. It’s not quite the PR 2.0 firmware we’ve all been waiting for, but many features from that promised update are present, including the new web browser and portrait on-screen QWERTY keyboard. Today at CTIA in Orlando, Florida, Nokia took the first step in delivering its promise of making millions of more Symbian devices with the launch of the Nokia Astound (US version of the Nokia C7) with T-Mobile USA. Check out the full press release and press images after the break.

The Nokia C5 has received a minor firmware update taking it up from v061.005 to v062.001. There’s no official changelog, but the new firmware is thought to bring more general performance and usability improvements. If you manage to update your Nokia C5 and notice any changes, please share your thoughts in the comments. More info after the break.

Mohamed Magdy Mahmoud has published a concept design of the Nokia C8, which is by far the best concept design I have seen to date. The chrome and black design looks very sleek and stylish with a full glossy back cover to mimic the front touch screen. Hit the jump to find out more.
