As we’ve seen in the past Nokia handsets are put thorough a rather vigorous reliability test in order to guarantee the reliability of that device before they go on sale. This was no different for the Nokia N8, which was put through its paces in a drop test at the Nokia Testing Centre in Beijing. The CeBIT Global Conferences are underway in Hannover, Germany, and Nokia has kicked off with the revelation of its Cseries portfolio. The Nokia C5 is the first Cseries device to be announced and is designed to cater for those looking for a cheap smartphone with heavy social networking capabilities. If you fit the bill, you will also be delighted to learn that the Nokia C5 is estimated to retail for around £125 before taxes and subsides.

When taking a step back from the fast growing mobile devices industry, we can see that technology has progressed far beyond what we initially expected. Mobile phones as we knew them are now a thing of the past as they now pack more than just telephony features. The Nokia Testing Centre in Beijing puts all Nokia handsets through a controlled yet extreme regime in order to guarantee the reliability of that device. Daky Yang is a Nokia Testing Engineer, and part of the team of people that put your Nokia handset through many different tests and scenarios in order to ensure they are hard-wearing and reliable. He went on to say that, “When we perform the tests, we understand that people use their phones in different ways.
