Swype for Symbian Beta Now Available For S60 5th Editionby Ibrahim Jogee in Applications, Features, News, VideoThe Nokia Beta Labs today released a limited beta of Swype for Symbian, probably the most anticipated predictive text input application to date. Swype provides a faster and easier way to input text by swiping your finger with one continuous motion across the Qwerty keypad on your device. Simply glide your finger in order through all the letters of the word you wish to type, and Swype will automatically recognise the word. Check out the video demo of Swype for Symbian after the jump.

Nokia C6 Firmware Ported To Nokia 5800by Ibrahim Jogee in Firmware Updates, Tips & Tricks, VideoThe guys over at PNHT.org have managed to port the Nokia C6 firmware over onto the Nokia 5800. The video shows the fully working C6 firmware, which also works on the Nokia 5530. The firmware won’t be released anytime soon as it still needs to be put through some tests. New Firmware v50.0.005 | Nokia 5800XMby Ibrahim Jogee in Firmware Updates, Handset, NewsThe Nokia 5800XM has also just received a new firmware update taking it up to v50.0.005. The new firmware brings many updates and improvements to your Nokia handset, and although there is no official changelog, word has it that this new update comes with preloaded maps data along with Ovi Maps v3.3 with free voice guided turn-by-turn navigation. New firmware updates also contain more general bug fixes and optimizations necessary for the software on your device to perform properly, therefore we recommend you always keep your device up to date.
