Truephone is a VoIP service provider and has supported Nokia’s S60 devices on their generic application for quite some time now. However, they have recently announced a new product, Truphone Local Anywhere, which is a service that gives you multiple local numbers with the ability to call anywhere, using local rates, regardless of which country you are in.
This is a short promotional video demonstrating some of the features you can look forward to on the upcoming Nokia N900. The N900 is Nokia’s first mobile phone that sports the Maemo 5 platform, has a slide out QWERTY keyboard and is expected to challenge against the iconic Apple iPhone.
Nokia has just announced that the there is a new firmware v30.101 available for the Nokia N85. This software release includes improvements in copying contacts from your SIM card and other bug fixes. To get this software through your device using FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air), type in *#0000# on the home screen or go to Device Manager. Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on screen prompts. Additionally this software release is available via the NSU (Nokia Software Updater). Although the Nokia N85 supports UDP (User Data Preservation), we still recommend you do a full backup to ensure you do not lose any data.
Nokia has released a new firmware for the Nokia N86 8MP taking it up to v20.115. You can update your device using FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) by simply typing *#0000# on your homescreen and selecting check for updates or via NSU (Nokia Software Updater). The update includes major camera improvements and various bug fixes.
