Carphone Warehouse Launches Coverage Guaranteeby Ibrahim Jogee | Industry, News, Press, ServicesCarphone Warehouse has launched a Coverage Guarantee service whereby if the new phone or dongle you purchase does not offer adequate amounts of network coverage, they will either exchange the product with a network more suitable for your area or offer a full refund. This policy is the first of its kind and has been created as a result of pure consumer demand. Hit the jump to read on. Nokia has decided to finally call it quits with its unsuccessful Ovi Files service. Ovi Files was created to allow users to remotely access photos, music and documents that were stored on their home computer. It also allowed you to browse, search and view photos, automatically resized for your mobile phone. Through the acquisition of Avvenu Incorporated in December 2007, Nokia originally aimed to release Ovi Files as a premium service. However due to poor uptake, in July 2007 Nokia decided to allow users to take advantage of this service free of charge. It appears as though the service is still underused, and so Nokia will officially discontinue the service as of 1 October 2010. Check out the email confirmation of this news after the break.

Nokia Comes With Music To Become Ovi Music Unlimited In The UKby Ibrahim Jogee | News, Press, ServicesAs a Nokia Comes with Music user, I received an email today announcing that the Comes with Music service will soon become a part of Ovi and will be titled Ovi Music Unlimited. ”With a new name and a sleek new look that is easier to use, with Ovi Music Unlimited you’ll still have access to millions of free tracks, plus, a faster, easier way to browse, search and download music.” India has already seen this transition from Comes with Music to OMU (Ovi Music Unlimited), as have a few others, and it seems that Nokia is continuing to re-brand its Comes with Music services with UK consumers.
