Not only can you connect a USB memory stick to your device and access all its data, you can also connect other smartphones, and access their data as you would with a flash drive. All I can say right now is that there is no need for an app for that!

The Nokia N8 is by far the most anticipated device for all Nokia fans, from the most impressive spec sheet yet, advanced photography features and new Symbian^3 OS. Well, we’ve so far seen leaked images, video functionalities and more, however now we bring you a three part review courtesy of Nokia Itself. In this first video Chris Bennetts, Senior Project Manager at Nokia talks through the Nokia N8’s homescreen, demonstrating the customisable abilities of the handset, true multitasking that makes running multiple apps a breeze, the lighting-fast onscreen keyboard, email and messaging, Internet and browser capabilities and finally maps and navigation. Back in February, Google launched its fairly successful Google Buzz for mobile service, a tool to start conversations when you are out and about. Currently this service was only available for the iPhone OS and Android 2.0+, however Google have just announced an XHTML version of the Buzz website which can be accessed from many other mobile devices, including those running Nokia’s Symbian OS.

Spitfire by Lionear Ltd is a loop-based audio recording and remixing application for mobile devices and it is currently available for Symbian S60 3rd and 5th Edition devices. It has four tracks for audio playback; audio can be either recorded through the device mic or loaded from a library of preset loops. Besides operating as a standalone app, Spitfire provides upload functionality for sending your tracks into Spitfireplayer.com. Check out the video demo after the break to find out more.

The Nokia N900 has finally received its anticipated new firmware update taking it up from v3.2010.02-8 (PR 1.1.1) to v10.2010.19-1 (PR 1.2). The new update brings a host of new features including a bunch of new games, substantial email and web browser enhancements, and menu system UI changes. There are many more additional feature including a long press to initiate the numbers, etc. Hit the jump to find out more, and if you experience additional changes, please share them below in the comments. Yesterday Nokia and Yahoo! announced their collaboration, and what each hopes to achieve through this deal. Both companies plan to enhance their current market strengths in e-mail, instant messaging, maps and navigation services, to provide consumers with access to world-class experiences on both PC and mobile devices. The strategic alliance to extend the reach of their industry leading online services and offer people rich experiences that keep them connected to their world and the world around them is a huge step in the right direction. With the current trends, people desire familiarity, recognition and ease of access. Nokia has collaborated with a some big names over the last couple of months, with likes of Intel and Microsoft recently hopping aboard the mothership, in an aim to strengthen its provision of devices and services. The latest organisation to be targeted by the mobile phone giants is Yahoo!.
