The Nokia N8 has received a new software update titled ‘Apps Update 1.0’. This is again not a new firmware update but a core applications update to improve the stability of phone applications. Hit the jump to find out more.
Checking the details of this software update revealed a short description stating: This update improves the stability of phone applications. This the same description as the first software update the Nokia N8 received in October 2010 title ‘Phone Apps’. The update is around 1.1MB (1086 kB) and can be downloaded by going to MENU > APPLICATIONS > SW UPDATE.
After installing the update I haven’t noticed any immediate changes, apart from the screen lock key working faster than before. There was a slight bug here which wasn’t quite working right as sometimes it would lock the screen but the homescreen would still be visible.
