Nokia has collaborated with a some big names over the last couple of months, with likes of Intel and Microsoft recently hopping aboard the mothership, in an aim to strengthen its provision of devices and services. The latest organisation to be targeted by the mobile phone giants is Yahoo!.
According to several sources, Internet service provider Yahoo! has stated that it is set to hold a press conference on Monday to announce the partnership. The tagline to this conference reads: “Please join Yahoo! CEO Carol Bartz for an exciting announcement about providing global consumers with rich online and mobile experiences, and bringing forward a new era in keeping consumers connected.”
The rumours suggest that the idea behind this partnership, codenamed ‘Project Nike’, is that Nokia will pre-install certain Yahoo services onto its phones and broaden its service offering.
